Alan Alda? Truly brilliant in… well, everything. And Charles Grodin—what a perfect, adorably uptight foil to Goldie Hawn in the slapstick gem Seems Like Old Times. As for Ted Lasso—yes! Absolute sunshine enema. I adored it, especially that Christmas episode. :)

Alan Alda FTW, although I did just watch, “The Seduction of Joe Tynan” where he was decidedly less than good. I think Robert Redford, also from that generation, was generally coded as a good male, but I’ve always found him strangely cold during love scenes?? Like, not fully present or something??

Yeah, Redford *always* seemed emotionally aloof in love scenes. Part of me wonders if that was just his shtick to entice female viewers? Or, if it's because he genuinely adored his wife and didn't want to cross whatever boundaries were negotiated. I know every actress in his heyday was SO hot to trot for him. :)

I mean, for all his handsomeness he didn't seem to have a genuine sensuality. Like, he seemed "heady" and blocky and kind of awkward, but directors just shot around all that? Examples of men who possess both: George, Denzel and Val. Val in "The Saint" esp!!

Ted Lasso! I love his kindness and his eternal optimism. My movie crushes are always funny guys, especially George Clooney, and he seems to be just as smart, savvy, and nice IRL.
