"... everything at this event, from the guests’ interactions to the wedding script to the couple’s voices in song, was soft, sweet, and warm..." Exactly how it should be. 💛
This was absolutely the best way for me to start a busy week. I felt like I was there for a few minutes. Thank you so much for this, especially the reminder to stay in our moments of peace and friendship right now, and appreciate them and our loved ones. I'm glad to be part of the family from afar.
I loved my big brother's wedding, maybe because I was the best woman, and his bride had a man of honor. Great night of dancing followed. (Russel and I were married in an art museum in La Jolla which was pretty cool too.)
Awww thanks, Jenny! Glad you found it transportive. I always aim to give maximum pleasure in my writing for Womancake (does that sound dirty? Maybe I should lean in more ;)

This is lovely. I sniffled when I read it. Reading about tears shed, or withheld, often makes me cry, too.
Thanks, Catherine! My thing is that when someone else cries I usually cry also. It's weird but everyone's gotten used to it now :)
"Mirror neurons"!
