In our house we often swallowed by our wallowing - but when we finally get around to tidying it feels glorious!

I KNOW RIGHT?? A thoroughly clean house ranks right up there with any of life's greatest pleasures, including peach pie, fresh sneakers, and orgasm ;)

Love this post. We always enjoy a glimpse into other's lives. I'm definitely a carrier too! Living on a small sailboat means tidying daily, so you don't ever go from here to there, even if it's only five steps, empty-handed.

I can imagine that boat living also keeps your overall possessions down, which is something I learned to do during the Pandemic and have never regretted.

I am a tidier but not a cleaner. My house is clean-ish.

I think that's most people, and I'm sure it's better to reside there in the middle of the spectrum ;)

100% Tidier here—nothing clears my head faster than clearing a countertop. ABC might just be my new life mantra.

Yay, I'm glad! Yeah, no joke: ABC works. Also reducing one's overall amount of possessions, but that's more in the Marie Kondo area.

My Adored Grandma was a dairy farm wife: endless labor. But her arts were quilting and crochet. Her church group created quilts for disaster relief all over the world. It was a big farmhouse with a large attic filled with boxes and boxes of reclaimed disassembled fabrics, sorted by fiber, awaiting her latest project. Buttons and zippers had been removed for recycling as well.

I was shocked and delighted to realize in my 30s that I had recreated my childhood happy place in my own home! Not a quilter, but definitely a designer, ready to go with my ‘bank’ of gorgeous fabrics.

To ‘colorblind minimalists’ it’s just ugly storage. To me it’s a treasure trove of possibilities! Like that dragon in the cave of riches. To people who deeply respect the recycle/repurpose ethic, you have to start with some thing.

I like knowing it’s there.

I did cut way back on the accumulation of Hawaiian mugs. The more you have, the more get dirty. If that’s a hated chore, it gets untenable in short order. But… go figure… I love washing my crystal collection and windows. Because I can make it 100% perfect. Crazy?

Not at all crazy! Things/areas that are easy to clean are a gift. Sounds like your home is a perfect place for dragons ;)

Love this one! I am definitely a Tidier+cleaner! I have my ABCing to be the proof, plus my DPO — Don’t Put Off anything you see that needs cleaning/fixing/organizing. 😅

Ha, that's another good acronym! I've also found that simply having *less stuff* keeps my house in better order.

Mostly Wallower but I do practice some ABC’s, not w books or mail, though. They settle for awhile.
