Ghhadd... I love a good, cathartic musical car cry.

I did this on the treadmill the other day and totally hoped the person hot-girl-walking next to me didn't notice my little impromptu microdosed nervous breakdown with concomitant waterworks.

In this great unspooling of all my brain's existential yarn, I just want the scissors to snip in, cut the string, and stop the spinning so that I can reorient, and gauge the path ahead with less unceasing vertigo. Oy.

Yep. My friends and I have noticed that the Cathartic Cry happening to us more and more now. Sure, fine, perimenopause, but it's also the existential fuckery ambience in the air. Deep breaths, Kleenex, and onward.

Wow! Also, Dying for Sex is hilarious and heart wrenching and utterly cathartic. I made it to the end of episode 6 before the tears came, and then pretty much sobbed through the last two episodes. What I loved best about it was that it NEVER centered what was happening to the men. And that was ground breaking in and of itself. You will laugh really really hard, and you will also sob. But isn’t that life?
